"Trees of Reconciliation" Event |
|
Friday, 18 January 2008 |
You are Invited!Jewish Voice for Peace, a network of Jewish peace activists, is organizing a special celebration of Tu b'shevat (a traditional Jewish holiday celebrating trees). It will be held Sunday, January 20th, 4-6pm in the Fellowship Hall. Called "Trees of Reconciliation," this seder will include a liturgy about the significance of trees, and fruits and nuts to share. Donations will be collected to plant olive trees in the West Bank. This is a great opportunity for us at Epiphany to support peace efforts in Israel/Palestine and learn a bit more about Jewish traditions. Co-sponsored by the Amistad Committee. For more information, please contact Pastor Sara, 773-334-9414,
