The City of Chicago has opened a new recycling drop-off center at 1150 N. North Branch south of Division between Halsted & Elston (Goose Island). The drop off center accepts office and residential items with no pre-sorting needed. Items accepted include: junk mail, magazines, catalogs, telephone books, paper bags, newspapers, plastic/glass jars/bottles, aluminum cans/foil, tin/steel cans, cereal boxes, corrugated cardboard, or office paper. The Center is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, go to the City of Chicago website, or contact your Alderman’s office.
