Epiphany United Church of Christ
Vision of Stewardship
Rev. 10/1/2006

As members of Epiphany United Church of Christ we believe that stewardship calls us to dedicate the first fruits of our time, talent and treasure to God. We embrace a holistic vision of stewardship where time, talent and money are interrelated elements of God’s grace. We are called to steward these gifts responsibly in our community and our world as an outward sign of our love for Jesus Christ and our desire to follow Him.

Stewardship is not an annual campaign, but the very essence of who we are as Christians and members of Epiphany UCC. As a congregation we invite and challenge our members to participate fully in the life and work of the congregation. By intentionally opening up our lives to God, we free ourselves from the love of money and the pull of the material world. We do so with gratitude and thanksgiving, recognizing that all we have comes from God and belongs to God.

Our stewardship commitment is both spiritual and practical. We maximize the use of our time, talent and money to support the work of our Epiphany family.

We maximize stewardship of our TIME

Epiphany UCC invites its members to give the first fruits of their time to the work of the church and community. We encourage new members to get involved, and offer ongoing service opportunities to all members regardless of age or family obligations.

We maximize stewardship of our TALENT

Every child of God has talent and ability. Epiphany church seeks to serve as a resource to connect member’s interests and talents with appropriate volunteer opportunities, and we encourage members to present new ministry ideas for consideration.

We maximize stewardship of our TREASURE

We encourage proportional and sacrificial giving as a spiritual discipline. We invite members to pledge each year as a sign of their intentional commitment to invest in the work of Epiphany UCC.
